The Black Wives Network launched in 2007 out of a true desire to create a place for black, married women to meet, connect and fellowship. Since then, we have grown, evolved and morphed into an organization for ALL Black women – hence the name Black Girlfriends Network. We are a diverse group of women with a common desire to build foundational relationships with other black women and community organizations.
Our journey began with three pillars of connectivity: Friendship, Fellowship and
Fun whereby we committed to meeting on the 2nd Sunday of each month. With the growth and evolution of the organization, we realized that something was missing...and that was a focus on self and the community. So in 2008, we extended our pillars of connectivity to include Personal and Professional Enrichment and Community Outreach.
We endeavor to remain a focused network creating unity in the black community and promoting the success of black professional women by building relationships,sharing knowledge , being a resource and creating alliances to influence and transform the very fabric of sisterhood and community.
We still meet on the 2nd Sunday of every month at 3pm. Our gatherings are HIGH-OCTANE, TRANSFORMATIVE experiences guaranteed to move your spirit, develop you personally and professionally and get you connected. We also have an electrifying women’s retreat reserved for 100 women who are ready to stretch themselves and make a BREAKTHROUGH..
